Terms of Service
Last updated: May 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PageCheckup (the "Service"), a free web tool that audits Google Tag Manager containers. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The service
PageCheckup connects to your Google account using read-only OAuth permissions, fetches metadata about your Google Tag Manager containers, runs a set of static-analysis rules, and produces a report. The Service is provided free of charge and is currently in an early validation phase.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. You must have authorization from the owner of any Google Tag Manager container you scan. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your Google account when accessing the Service.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to access Google Tag Manager containers you do not own or are not authorized to audit.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, or circumvent any feature, rate limit, or security mechanism of the Service.
- Use the Service to violate any law, infringe any third party's rights, or transmit malicious code.
- Scrape, resell, or build a competing service using the output of the Service without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms.
4. Google data and third-party services
The Service relies on Google APIs. Your use of those APIs is also subject to the Google Terms of Service. PageCheckup handles Google user data in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. See our Privacy Policy for details. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.
5. Your content and shareable links
You retain all rights to the data in your Google Tag Manager containers. By requesting a shareable report link, you grant us permission to host the resulting report and make it accessible to anyone with the link until you ask us to remove it. We do not claim ownership of your container data or audit results.
6. Service availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that the audit will catch every issue in your container. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or freedom from defects. Audit results are informational only and are not a substitute for professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing the recommendations before acting on them.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PageCheckup and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PageCheckup and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and revoke our access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk to other users, third parties, or us.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and PageCheckup agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
